An elegant and well-proportioned townhouse with lovely outlook over the historic Priory Park and towards the cathedral, and with the benefit of off-street parking.
The characterful and spacious accommodation is arranged over two storeys and to the rear faces west. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall leading to a useful cloakroom and a spacious dining room. The latter flows nicely into a west facing sitting room with access out into the garden. The focal point of the ground floor is a large kitchen/breakfast room, which benefits from fitted units and appliances and has a pretty outlook over the rear garden. On the first floor, off a light landing lie two good size double bedrooms (one with built in storage) and a stunning principal bedroom offering ample built in storage and en-suite facilities. A family bathroom completes the first floor accommodation.
Outside space comes in the form of an enclosed rear garden which is mainly paved with mature plants and shrubs dotted throughout. Beyond lies a secure, gravelled parking area with vehicle access via an up and over entrance. There are also two outside stores, offering further useful storage.
St Martin's Square is mainly medieval, lying between Priory Park, with its' historic cricket ground, and the old site of St. Martin's Church. The ancient almhouses lie nearby and the surrounding buildings are otherwise predominantly Georgian in character. Despite its discreet setting the property is within yards of the comprehensive shopping facilities situated in the pedestrianised centre, together with a good choice of restaurants and bars. The internationally known Festival Theatre and Pallant House Gallery are just a few examples of further nearby facilities. Other activities include horse racing, motor racing, flying and golf on the Goodwood Estate, or sailing from Chichester Harbour.
Communications are excellent with a nearby mainline station providing a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 40 minutes, and Havant station which provides a faster service to London Waterloo in about 1 hour 20 minutes. The A27 trunk road provides access to Worthing and Brighton to the east and Portsmouth, Havant and Southampton to the west. There are several choices of vehicle access to London, but the closest is probably the A286 from Chichester via Midhurst, joining the A3 at Milford. The alternative is the A27 joining the A3 at Havant.
