Guide Price £895,000
Situated on the edge of this hugely popular sailing village, a rare opportunity to acquire a well presented detached house with the benefit of fully approved planning consent to construct an outstanding and contemporary country house set within stunning grounds with rural views and a walled garden
Set within a secluded position behind Shipton Green Common, Inglewood offers a rare opportunity to construct a substantial country house (approx 3,672 sq ft). The proposed dwelling takes great advantage of the south and western aspect of the plot as well as maintaining views over open agricultural ground to the rear. The property is being offered with the benefit of soil and topographical surveys, and detailed architects and structural designs (which have been completed by the sellers consultants). Incorporating the latest technology the new property has been proposed to provide energy efficiency and sustainability as well as being sympathetic to the existing environment.
Spanning the eastern side of a walled garden the main accommodation pays particular attention to space and natural light formed from a central and double height glazed hall/reception room, with library/gallery overlooking. The remaining ground floor would feature approx. 10' ceiling heights. Upstairs the first floor provides flexibility for a number of bedrooms, with the existing design providing a main bedroom with en suite and dressing room, and two further substantial bedrooms (both en suite), and a guest bathroom. A balcony from the library/gallery overlooking the fields would complete the first floor. Downstairs the principal living room would be tri-aspect. To the rear of the central hall would be a substantial east-facing kitchen with access to a storage room/pantry. From the kitchen the outlook would be towards the fields to the east and walled garden to the west. To the side of the kitchen the proposed includes a large dining room. Further accommodation would include a laundry/utility room and a cloakroom. A glazed entrance lobby would complete the ground floor. The property would be approached via a driveway where there would be parking allocated for a number of vehicles.
Inglewood currently sits centrally within well maintained gardens with southerly views over farmland. Believed to have been constructed in the 1960's the detached house (approx 1,600 sq ft) is arranged over two floors and provides three bedrooms, a reception room, kitchen/breakfast room, study/dining room, conservatory, utility room, bathroom, cloakroom and integral double garage.
